Felix Appelbe has supported small initiatives designed to help young people access music education beyond the school day.

Across the UK, reductions in funding for arts education have made it increasingly difficult for some children to receive the musical training that might allow their talents to develop. Yet many dedicated teachers continue to offer lessons and coaching outside normal school hours.

Felix has provided seed funding to support some of these programmes, helping teachers expand the number of pupils they can reach and ensuring that children from families with limited financial resources are not excluded from learning an instrument.

For Felix, the motivation is simple: throughout history, Britain has been known for its strength in the liberal arts. Supporting young musicians helps ensure that the next generation of talent has the opportunity to grow, regardless of background.
